right now. work has been owning me ... as well as cny & sadly, i've been letting it. i’ve 3 more days of work before 10 days off. eer. whatever. & when i return in 2010, i refuse to let it own me anymore.
i refuse to get stressed out. i promise to start nodding my head at their obscene requests & then leaving them & doing as i know i can & should when i walk into my room & close my door. i refuse to let anyone there ruin me. despite how hard they seem to try.
i promise to focus on the reports i’m there to do. i refuse to waste much time doing the waste~of~time jobs that keep me from doing the real job. i promise to change my focus to the ones that matter. i refuse to let the others take my time. “put up you dukes up & come out fighting, eii wyy nae! now tighten up those gloves again, mouth guard in & go ... start swinging!!!”.
tomorrow i awake at the crack of dawn & resume life as a monkey whisperer. instead of being sullen, unpleasant & hostile about the final grains of vacation sand leaving the top of the hourglass & dropping into the bottom, i distracted myself with more wood panels.
by saturday when the thundering herd of monkeys come racing back into the lectures i’ll have forgotten all about the last 60 days of vacation. but i’ve lots more wood panels lying in wait.
