please excuse my dust as this blog site is still under construction.

we didn’t have a bucket to sit on a pole to fish with a drill to make a fishing hole. a sled to carry all the things we didn’t have or a shove to clear away snow from the perfect “spot” but i did have my cam & that was all i needed when making a convo with one of the men who told us these, “are some good eating fish.” & “they’re really biting today.”

do you have any idea how much i love strangers at times. i really, really do & my fingers hadn’t been numb when i took this snap of his fish. i would have taken his photo too. next time & there will be a next time i promise. after all, it is wisconsin & the lakes will be frozen until june.
i got up right next to her & asked if someone was waiting for her. she said, “yep. he’s right there.” yet she tightly grabbed my arm, leaving her walker behind while telling me she’d rather walk with me. so i lead her down the ramp to the now open car door while a man {i’m assuming her 30 year old grandson} came around to her other side & thanked me.
she said, “bless your heart honey. & patted my hand. he said, “have the happiest of holidays.” i said, “merry christmas to you both.” & walked away thinking this is how i want to feel every day.

you want to feel what you used to feel.
