so here i am - updating. nothing has kept me busy. jammie has made the musical & she was pretty happy with her part. aside from the fact she's the fairy godmother.
but at any rate, it's been a drippy dreary rainy day in brunei, but quite aside from being depressed about it, i'm perfectly happy. i love rainy days. i think they're so eer ... nice & relaxing. & they're inductive to the imagination. seriously, there's something intoxicating about the steady downpour of rain that gets your imagination working again. whenever it's rainy i get in the mood to do something creative, like playing the piano, or drawing pictures & unleashing my inner child.
this rainy day, i went under my bed & dragged out my old shoebox that contains the paper dolls of my childhood. & i played with them - a lot. i had a bunch from the mary engelbreit magazines that came in every issue. ann estelle, georgia, audrey ann, gracie, & tommy. i loved georgia the best because she was a ballerina but ann estelle always had the cutest clothes. i loved them when i was little.
anyways, going back through the dolls & remembering the little stories & adventures i used to make up for them was strangely emotional. i was so innocent & carefree back then, nothing made me happier than to sit with my dolls & play dress-up.my favorite was always georgia's ballerina tutu. there's something so magical about playing with paper dolls. you can do anything with them & they can go anywhere with you. they remind me of being little with a boundless imagination & no worries about college & uni & things like that.
so everyone, next rainy day, drags out an old toy & play for a while. it does wonders for your health. i know.
adieu mes belles,
eii wyy nae.
