we've had it in our appointment books, for weeks ... that we would make a day for coffee, a stroll & conversation. taking a day off, to just bee, none of the serious stuff.
we slipped in a cranberry, lemon scone & an apple dumpling. the coffee shop, garnished the plates, w/ homemade whipped cream, isnt that something. my scone was amazing. cranberry is my fav, outside of a classic creme. a good day, w/ the one, ii love. its a bit cold here, the rain is falling. so ii decided to pick up the fixings, for chicken & dumplings. i'll make a go of it tomorrow. some knitting, its a perfect time to knit. ii really want to try my hand, @ a pair of socks. ii can do it, right. lol.
& you know what. life ... the shit ii used to worry about, all the small stuff that ii carried, before ii was rocked by fear ... nah, not so much on my mind anymore. all that unimportant stuff, no place for it. faith, health, family, good people. those things are important. im still standing & im so grateful for that. easily a zen story comes to mind.
