the door to september turns out to bee blue & right around the corner. of course. its not locked & “autumn” is back there. a very early “texas autumn”, to bee sure, still green for a good while yet, but the air is cooler & the last long weekend before thanksgiving is here @ last. there is no denying it.
i bet halloween stores are appearing all over town in europe; i wish i get to see it, high school football should bee in full swing & my thoughts go past november, christmas lists already appearing in my head. i know. i know. i wonder when ditto the stacks of unused~since~last~fall white blankets. i admit to fantasies of working at my new {old} study table, surrounded by early darkness & york’s articles in the making.
i admit to fantasies of christmas at lovely maaa’s house this year, tried once w/ no great success, but the thought crosses my mind & i dont dismiss it. but that is far away. it is not yet “labor day”. i can still wear white.
